Coronavirus update

Saturday 14th March 2020

An impt announcement, communicated to all Salmond residents today, 14 March 2020:

"The government has announced today that any person returning to New Zealand after 11.59pm on Sunday 15 March will have to self-isolate for 14 days (except for those coming from the Pacific Islands where this currently does not apply). This is significant for any student considering overseas travel as on return to the country they will not be able to return to the college until they have self-isolated for 14 days.

The exception to traveling to the Pacific may change at any time, so residents should make their own informed decisions about such travel. Residents who choose to travel remain liable for college fees during the time they are self-isolating away from the College.

Anyone considering overseas travel in coming days should contact the Head of College, Nick, or Deputy Head of College, Richard, with details of travel plans and a conversation regarding plans for self-isolation on return.

Please contact a staff member if you have any questions, and keep abreast of developments through the news and our Facebook groups.

Thinking of you all in these are challenging times,

kia kaha

Nick Bates"
